✦ Hunters and Other Groups

Hunters are present, and in large quantity. The wild lands of Africa are harsh, but many a sangoma (a Zulu term for witch doctor) and babalawo (Yoruban priests) do hunt for the Laibon, as their very presence is seen as a symbol of evil, and corruption of the lands. However, there is no formal organization: cells are the only form of organized hunters across a disjointed, chaotic Africa.

The Second Inquisition has some of its fiercest agents and inquisitors from this land. While Westerners may believe that the good fight is only spiritual, the Inquisitors who hail from Africa know that the battle is both one of body and soul. Catholic Inquisitors from Nigeria and Cameroon are some of the most ruthless, cunning and skilled hunters that the Vatican can deploy.

The Akritai have a stronghold in Aksum, and have defended it for millennia. It’s a place of power, where the very ground is imbued with True Faith, with some saying that the Ark of the Covenant resides there…
