If there is a group of vampires so mysterious and secretive that the Kindred know less about them than about the bloodlines, or the Laibon, it’s the Wan Kuei; they are known with the name of Eastern Clans amongst the Western Kindred.
Their organization, titles, internal politics are considered byzantine even by Camarilla standards, while their aloofness and resoluteness in being “outside the Jyhad” at all costs puts them at odds with the Sabbat. Furthermore, the ages of isolation have made contact between the Kindred and Wan Kuei difficult, if not impossible, except for a handful of brave, foolish, or foolishly brave adventurers.
