✦ Domains in Los Angeles

Once a vampire establishes himself, he or she will make a Domain to rule over.

Domain is physical territory controlled by a Kindred, group/coterie of Kindred, or a Sect. This area provides a character Influence, Resources, opportunities to get Fame, Status and other increases in Background, at the cost of being a major responsibility for a player, for it has to be maintained and defended by opportunistic attacks by other factions.

Multiple Domains owned, or vassal ones, should also be tracked. Retainers must be sent to manage a Domain (especially its Strike Force), though they still answer to the PC that has made them. Should the Retainer expand or maintain a Domain, they should roll their own dice pool, not the player’s.

Players can only support one Domain beyond their own each month.

✦ Community (Domain Perk)

The number of supernaturally aware people in the Domain. It is comprised of special mortals (ghouls, revenants, sorcerers, dhampirs etc.), and supernatural creatures (vampires). They are to be considered as NPCs/pawns, or a pool from which to recruit Retainers and grunts for the Strike Force.

Dots of Community lost in combat are "frozen" for the rest of month, but are immediately recovered the following month. Dots of Community lost in sieges are destroyed outright.

✦ Domain Influence (Domain Perk)

The impact in mortal affairs the Domain has, aiding the Leader with checks revolving any sort of Influence.

<aside> Domain Influence adds onto any kind of Influence the Leader has, although it only works while the Leader is in the Domain. Does not count towards malus limits.

✦ Domain Resources (Domain Perk)

The amount of resources accessible to the Domain, aiding the Leader with checks revolving around Resources.
