✦ What is a Domain?

A Domain is a claimed territory, usually by a vampire, coterie or Sect, to sustain their undead lifestyle: it encompasses the Hunting Grounds, but sometimes also the haven and sources of influence and revenue for a vampire or mundane.

✦ Setting up a Domain

✦ Expanding a Domain

✦ Maintaining a Domain

✦ Warmongering Domains

Sometimes, it is impossible to expand a domain through normal means. Or maybe, the competition in the district next door is becoming an issue. And if you can’t mansplain, manwhore, manipulate or manhandle your way out of your political enemy’s grasp… manslaughter it is. Violence is ultimately, the first form of power. And conquest is to be always considered.

When a Domain is either blocked in its expansion, or when a simple act of aggression must be committed, then a Domain Conquest can be called. Calling a Conquest is a three-step process.

✦ Claim

✦ Invasion

✦ Control

✦ Destruction of a Domain

Not all acts of Conquest seek to actually settle the newly gained land. Some, and many in fact, are here for the sake of its destruction. Partial or total. When a group of players (or a single one) successfully conquer a Domain, they must also state clearly their objectives.

✦ Decay

✦ Perks of a Domain

Domains carry a heavy cost, but also numerous benefits. There are a number of perks that a domain can be used for. First and foremost, the perks of a domain may not be a higher level than the domain itself. For example, the domain perk of a library can have a level of one through five. That level cannot go above the domain’s level. Therefore, high level perks require the effort of multiple kindreds coming together in order to achieve and gain the benefits of such powerful assets. If a domain happens to lower in level due to failed rolls or player characters no longer being present, then previously earned perks will be locked until the domain returns to its former level
